We bought this exersaucer for our son when he was 2 1/2 months old...he used the playmat first, both on his back and for tummy time. He liked that quite a bit! We put the whole saucer together when he was 3 1/2 months old (he had good upper body and head control) and he just loved it! Now he is almost 5 months and he can turn himself to play with different toys and just really gets a kick out of it.

We also like the fact that it folds up for easy portability...and it is very easy to fold and unfold.

Edited to add: Another reviewer posted to say that the paint chips and that Evenflo had not responded to their inquiry about it...we had the same problem, and I also e-mailed Evenflo, getting a very prompt response in which they stated that the paint is non-toxic. It only happened on a couple of spots on ours...I just kept an eye on him after noticing the chips.

We choose this exersaucer over the other choices that were available because we liked the soft mat feature more than exersaucers that have hard surfaces on the bottom. We also liked the variety of toys and sounds on this exersaucer. Our son is six months old now and he has been using this exersaucer just about every day for the past two months. He absolutely LOVES it, and so do we! His favorite toy is the spinner, but he enjoys rotating around and playing with the other toys as well. It has been worth its weight in gold! I especially like the fact that I can easily pick up this exersaucer by the handle and carry it from room to room.... sometimes even while carrying my son in my other arm! We are very happy with this exersaucer and would highly recommend it to others who are looking for a similar item for their baby.

My son (now 4 months) did not love the play mat. We put him on his back and he was unable to reach the toys. We decided to purchase another mat and use this as an exersaucer only. We put him in at 3 1/2 months (he has good head and neck control) He loved it. There was a lot to play with. I thought it was great. Then after only playing with it for two weeks, I noticed the PAINT WAS CHIPPING on the beach ball. I don't believe he ingested any of it, but I dont know what would happen if he did. I have written to evenflo and have not received a responce. MUST READ BEFORE YOU BUY

THIS PLAYPEN IS ADORABLE. IM A TATTOOED ALTERNATIVE STYLED MOM AND IT WAS HARD TO FIND A DECENT PRICED PLAYPEN IN MY COLOR SCHEME IM HUGE ON BLACK AND PINK. IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY I WOULD SUGGEST THE ROCKSTAR BABY PLAYPEN, BUT THIS IS A GREAT PLAYPEN AND THE COLORS ARE SO CUTE. THE HANGING TOYS ARE A LITTLE PLAIN, BUT I LOVE THE FOLD DOWN CHANGING TABLE FOR WHEN ITS NOT IN USE AND ALL FOUR SIDES HAVE DRAFT COVERS THAT YOU PUT OF THE NETTING. MY BABY IS ACTUALLY SLEEPING IN HERS NOW :)

We were familiar with the evenflo exersaucer product before we purchased this one. We had an older model for our other children. We decided to upgrade to a new model when my parents wanted one to keep at their house for babysitting.

We narrowed our choice down between this one and the 3 in1 pond design. These two appealed to us because of the electronic activities on both seemed to be fun activities. We ended up going with this one not only because it was a little less expensive but because we liked the ABC theme.

These exersaucers come in a box that measures approx 30x30x10 inches. You must assemble everything. The detailed instructions that come with it make it pretty easy. It took two of us approximately 20 minutes to assemble. You start with the base and legs and work your way up. There are about 30 different parts to the complete kit.

The one small complaint I have about the exersaucer is the fact that the four electronic items each require 3AAA... Read more

We LOVE this excersaucer!

It fabulously folds down for travel or moving it from room to room with a handle and everything.

We put our daughter in it at 4 months of age (with blankets around her) and it was an immediate success. She has so much fun in it! She's 6 months old now and still loves every minute. We also purchased a few of the "Switch-a-roos" for it. The tall fish teething switcharoo and the crinkly bee switcharoo are big hits with our baby girl and the switcharoos are very reasonably priced.

She loves all the sounds and lights. They aren't too annoying. (As for someone's comment on the creepy laughter, I kinda agree - it is slightly creepy, but my daughter actually smiles and laughs with the sound!)

Oddly enough, one of my daughter's favorite things to play with on it are the star-domes that cover the springs!!!

Love the gender neutral, yet bright and fun colors and designs.

Update: The day I wrote the review, I called Evenflo. They sent out new parts. I scratched the stars purposefully with my fingernails, and they don't flake off this time. They asked for the old parts so their engineers could take a look at them and figure out what happened, and FedEx showed up to pick them up.

So.......... good customer service. Thank God! As I didn't want to take this away from my daughter. She's still loving it!

First review:

My daughter absolutely loves this thing. She hated swings. She tolerated the papasan. But she loves this thing. And today I notice that the painted stars are flaking off of the spring covers that hold the thing together, so they cannot be removed. I'm going to call Evenflo, but it sounds like I'm not the only one with the problem. And unless they can address it appropriately, it has to go back. We try to take a very health conscious approach to raising our child, and paint flecks are not part of... Read more
